"I looked up to heaven and said, 'Lord, I know I am going to die. Make it fast, please.' ".....Medal of Honor recipient, Nicholas Oresko.

Nicholas Oresko, the oldest surviving recipient of the Medal of Honor was laid to rest today. Outside the German town of Tettingen during WW II, Sgt. Oresko single-handedly wiped out two machine-gun positions. His lone assault enabled his unit to take the hill with minimum casualties although severely injured himself. Many friends, including other Medal of Honor recipients said good-bye to this real American Hero.
